Chicken Little

$500.00

Artist Statement:

“Through my reimagined rendition of ‘Chicken Little’ on a bowling pin canvas, I explore the interplay between traditional craftsmanship and whimsical narrative. By deconstructing and reassembling the bowling pin, I transcend its conventional function, infusing it with new life and character.

Utilizing a diverse array of techniques such as turning, carving, pyrography, and dry brush painting, I intricately bring forth the essence of ‘Chicken Little’ in a novel form. The incorporation of Fordite for the comb and wattle not only adds a vibrant visual element but also symbolizes the fusion of industrial heritage with natural motifs.

In this artwork, I invite viewers to engage with the familiar tale through a fresh lens, prompting reflection on themes of resilience, perception, and the unexpected beauty found in unconventional mediums. My ‘Chicken Little’ is not merely a retelling but a celebration of craftsmanship and imagination, inviting audiences to reconsider the ordinary and find extraordinary narratives within.”
