“The DODO bird sculpture is a transformation of an old bowling pin, meticulously cut, reassembled, and hand-carved. Through pyrography and dry brush painting, I brought out the textures and details that echo the bird’s lost world. The piece is mounted on a saguaro cactus crotch skeleton, accompanied by litchi berries, creating a unique diorama that merges natural elements with repurposed materials. This work is a blend of history and imagination, a nod to the extinct and the enduring.”
